ATA Carnet
An ATA Carnet is an internationally recognised customs document that facilitates the temporary admission of goods into 81 participating countries and territories. It allows businesses and individuals to temporarily import goods without paying customs duties and taxes for a period of up to one year.
The term ATA is derived from the French and English phrase Admission Temporaire / Temporary Admission. The carnet acts as a passport for goods, simplifying customs procedures and reducing border delays when travelling internationally with commercial items.
