The South African Revenue Services has circulated communications advising existing customs users that you are required to update your existing registration or licensing information as set out in the attached letter by 31 March 2023.

The Registration, Licensing and Accreditation (RLA) system has undergone various enhancements since its initial launch and SARS is now able to migrate all clients previously registered through the manual process onto the RLA system.
All existing customs users that registered before April 2020 are required to re-register on the RLA system.
Such customs users for quick reference are importers, exporters, users of trade agreements, clearing agents, transporters & carriers as well as storage warehouses amongst others.
