Spring has arrived at last. Cape Town in particular has been enjoying some of the most glorious days; warm, clear and fragrant with the scent of flowers.
Two big events that take place during this time, which draw the crowds is the Whale & Flower Season. If you were to ask any local what makes spring their favourite time of year, the answer will be almost certainly unanimous… the start of the warmer season means that summer is not too far away!
While it is obvious that the Mother City is in full spring mode, these signs will make it even clearer that the time of outdoor fun, gorgeous scenery, fresh breezes and sunshine has begun.
For us at Pioneer Freight, it’s a new season with new beginnings. Spring always brings with it new opportunities and one always feels ready to embrace changes with renewed energy and vigour.
September marks some significant changes within our organisation. Crowe DNA has been on board with us for almost a year now supporting our business and tasked to evaluate and enhance our Human Resources and Organisational Development capabilities.
They have identified and proposed a revised structure that will enable our future talent and succession plans and support the growth and development of our leaders and staff.
Our commitment to our team is to uplift our HR practices and processes and align all staff to the company goals and objectives. As an employer, we aspire to become an employer of choice and a great place to work that not only attracts and retains talented staff but provides staff with best practices and world-class HR platforms that support staff to perform and develop to their full potential.
Having said this, during the month of September Pioneer Freight will be rolling out the following 4 HR changes which we are extremely excited about:
1. Organisational Structure re-alignment
2. HR Policy Guideline Manual updates and enhancements that ensure best of Kind HR practices
3. Implementation of a Digital e-HR Platform
4. Implementation of a Digital Online Learning Academy platform
With these changes comes the opportunity for everyone in our team to grow, develop and contribute to their full potential which of course will enhance our service levels to our valued clients and partners globally.
As a team, we firmly believe that it is our service and personal commitment to client relationships that not only define us but differentiates us from others. The impact of covid has taught us many things about ourselves and what it takes to be agile and innovative. This takes ongoing human capital development and investment in our people, which in turn provides that critical return on investment that produces improved knowledge, performance and business solutions that add value to all our stakeholders.
A final reflection on these pending changes has highlighted that investing in our people is a strategic commitment that recognises that without our team of incredible people we cannot deliver our Pioneer promise to you, our most valued clients.
